Application
Before we talk, show us how you think.
Most people take 30 to 45 minutes on this. Everything is on this one page,
so you can scroll back at any time. Set aside enough time to finish it in
one sitting.
Most Filipinos rate their own English lower than it actually is.
If a foreigner mostly understands you when you speak, if you read English
without thinking about it, if you watch shows in English, your English is
good enough to start here. We test what you can actually do, not what you
think you can do. We build the rest.
Honesty is more valuable than a correct answer.
“I’m not sure” is always available and never hurts you.

A note about AI tools
Some applicants use ChatGPT or similar tools on forms like this. Here that
can only hurt you. We are not looking for perfect answers. We are looking
for how YOU think and how YOU write, because that tells us where you will
succeed with us. An honest answer with mistakes beats a polished answer
that is not yours, every time. We would rather hire someone whose skills
need work than someone we cannot trust.
If we detect AI-written answers, the application ends there.
Read carefully
We build things that need attention to detail, so this form checks for it.
At Question 11 you will see four answers made of checkmarks.
Choose the one with four checkmarks.

There are no trick questions here. Answer honestly.

Introduce yourself in 2–3 sentences, as if meeting a new manager.
4
Questions 6 to 8 — Reading and writing
“I’m not sure” never counts against you.
Question 8
A manager wrote this email to a client. Rewrite it professionally.
Hey! Follow up on proposal. Questions or whatever. Call whenever.
5
Questions 9 to 11 — How you think
“I’m not sure” never counts against you.
6
Questions 12 & 13 — Skills and instincts
Tick only what you have actually used. There is no penalty for a short list.
About you
Describe yesterday at your current work or at home, from waking
up to finishing your day.
Ordinary details are exactly what we want.

Question 14 — Proofreading
Read the paragraph, then list what is wrong with it.
Read this paragraph from a business email. List everything that is wrong with
it. Write each problem on its own line. If you think nothing is wrong with a
sentence, leave it alone — flagging correct text counts against you.
Yesterday our team leader tell us that the schedule will change next week.
She don’t want anyone to be late, so she asked everyone to check their email
every morning. When I opened mine, there was three new messages waiting. One
message said the meeting was moved on Monday at 9:00 a.m. The manager,
together with two supervisors, was already planning the agenda. My coworker
forgot his laptop, so he asked me to borrow him mine for the day. I agreed,
even though I was needing it for my own report. After lunch, we received
many informations about the new client. If I were the leader, I would
explain the changes more clearly, but everyone accept them without
complaining.
